Kumbura Villa in Habaraduwa was designed with the Sri Lanka heritage in mind and every detail have been carefully designed and selected. You have all amenities and luxury touches that will make your vacation a memorable stay. From the garden design to the pool stones, everything brings nature and tranquillity into the villa. With our staff looking after you you can sit back and relax.
Design
The villa was heavily influenced by Sri Lankan heritage and includes all modern facilities and luxury touches you would expect from a luxury stay. We kept the house design simple to let nature in and provide the decoration. The garden landscaping offers a simple but classic design. Lots of attention has been spent on the details, lights, tilling… The pool has also been carefully designed to have a natural feel to bring calm and serenity to the centre of the house.
Nature
The villa is secluded and built on a headland surrounded by paddy fields (that are owned by the owners) and tea plantations. You are not overlooked by anyone. The location offers a quiet oasis and we are graced by a full range of animals that you can look out from the comfort of the villa: peacocks, monkeys, buffaloes, and native birds.
Staff
Kumubura Villa in Habaraduwa is fully staffed, you will have the same experience as a 5* hotel, with fresh bedding, towels provided, breakfast cooked, bedroom cleaned daily – but with the space and freedom of your own villa. The staff will make sure you have an incredible stay. Our housekeeper can cook local cuisine that is simple and elegant giving you a true taste of Sri Lanka.
Relaxation
The owners of Villa Kumbura wanted to create a villa that you can truly relax with children around. With the staff that clean the villa, make breakfast, babysit – we promise you a memorable stay. The pool is in the Centre of the house. – it’s easy to keep an eye on the children swimming whilst having lunch or relaxing on the sofas. AC & fans make the rooms a lot cooler allowing a good night’s sleep. For older children, friends or grandparents, we have the option of a slightly separate space (just 15m away) in their own Pavilion to give everyone enough space. We also created a family room, with two rooms that connect with each having their own bathrooms.
Safety
With children on holiday, safety is always a concern. We designed the villa so most of those aspects are covered: we have a night watcher and staff rotate 24/7, lots of ground for kids to play around, no nearby road or passing traffic. The bathroom floors and pool terraces are “non-slip”. Mosquitoes can be around, so all the rooms are well protected with glass windows, mosquito nets on the 4 poster beds, and electric repellent. We have a high-quality sustainable water treatment system on sites the water is filtered and potable. The house has good Wi-Fi and an in-house generator on the grounds.
Catering
Breakfast is part of the Villa rate, and the Villa offer a variety of options to suit everyone’s tastes. Lunch/dinner can be provided, so you do not have to worry about where to eat, We even have a BBQ so if you fancy grilled lobster this can be arranged. . The main kitchen is free for you to use at your own convenience, Our staff can help you prepare and clean up after you use the kitchen, so you really feel that extra luxury that you need on holiday.
The amazing White Tea Factory is only a few miles away from the house.
