Bookings and Payments
How far in advance can I book my Colonial Villa Holiday?
Colonial Villas in Sri Lanka accept bookings 12 months in advance on most properties. Occasionally we have a few days available on short notice. We maintain an accurate calendar to allow you to book and pay online with confidence.
Bookings are confirmed immediately payment has been received. If making a part-payment, please ensure you complete your booking by the specified date to avoid disappointment or forfeiting your booking. Refer to our Terms and Conditions
What methods of payment are accepted?
We are happy to accept Visa, Master and American Express cards. We are also able to accept bank transfers. If making a bank transfer, your booking is not confirmed until we have received notification from our bank of the payment.
How can I be certain my payment details are secure?
Guest safety, privacy and data security are so important to us that we employ a specialist payment gateway with the latest cyber security monitoring and data protection. You will notice when you make payments that your payment is processed securely and your details are protected throughout the process.
When am I charged for my villa holiday?
When booking your Colonial Villas in Sri Lanka holiday a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking. The balance is payable 60 days prior to your check in date.
Can I use more than one payment method to pay for a reservation?
Online bookings and payments must be made on a single card or by a single bank transfer. However payments for additional services during your stay can be made on a separate card using our online payment gateway and your Booking Reservation so we can correctly track your payments. We try and avoid on site cash payments, including for staff tips.
Can I make changes to a pending Colonial Villas in Sri Lanka booking?
We know sometimes circumstances beyond your control force you to reconsider your villa booking dates. We make every effort to try to assist adjust your dates. Sometimes changes are simply not possible due to a lack of availability. Where this occurs we may be able to locate another villa with availability and offer this instead. Your existing booking deposit will be retained and any additional fees added prior to confirmation of your new booking. Any alteration enquiries must be emailed to email@example.com
Can I extend my villa booking?
If we have days available, we are happy to extend your booking. Be aware that some airline tickets do not allow alterations or changes to your travel date or time. Any alteration enquiries must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
What do I do if I need a tax invoice or statement?
Your booking confirmation is a Tax Invoice / Receipt containing all our official details. There may be additional charges during your stay for food, tours, massage, yoga classes or other things you wish to enjoy. We can issue an invoice at the conclusion of your stay that is all inclusive by contacting email@example.com
Do all villas have cots for babies?
Many villas list baby / children’s cots under available amenities. However even if not listed we are able to arrange upon special request via email when you have made your booking. An additional charge will apply. Special requests >
How do I arrange Vegan / Kosher / Vegetarian / Halal / Gluten Free or other dietary requirements?
One week prior to your arrival you will receive a Pre-Arrival Form designed to accommodate your special dietary requirements. It is important you state your requests clearly, including any food allergies on this form prior to emailing to our office 7 days before your check in.
Can you help me arrange tours, day trips, airport transfer or in-house massage, yoga, cooking classes?
Our team has an extensive locally based network to ensure your holiday is effortless and totally relaxing. We arrange your airport transfer, excursions, adventures, shopping and even a trip to local cafes or beaches. Don’t forget to arrange your in house pampering; from massage to yoga or a cooking class to take your Sri Lankan experience back into your own kitchen.
How much should I allow for meals or food?
Villas have a range of options from breakfast included, A la Carte dining, all day drinks and snacks to all meals included. Please check the villa description prior to booking and email firstname.lastname@example.org to design the meals option you require.
Can I book just one room in a villa? Will I be sharing with other guests?
Some villas allow single room bookings. If you book a single room you may be sharing the villa with guests staying in other rooms.
We want to arrange and cook our own food. Can we self-cater our holiday?
Luxury villas are a fully serviced holiday. Self catering options are not available.
